Friday Art 2019

A weekly drop-in for SGA members who like to do art in the company of others meeting at Bemerton Methodist Church Hall, Roman Road, Salisbury;  Fridays 2pm to 4.30pm or thereabouts.  £2 including refreshments.

March 1st:  Adapt and Learn.  Take a painting by a famous artist and make your own version, introducing some variations and learning about methods and composition.

March 8th:  Still Life Drawing.   Carolyn will bring some objects and set up a still life.

March 15th:  Still life drawing into painting.  Work on the drawings made last week and practice the transition from study to more finished work. (Carolyn)

March 22nd:  Painting without a brush.  Bring sticks, cling-film, credit card, sponge etc. to work with. (Gill)

March 29th:  Botanical study.  Bring a flower, fruit, vegetable or some foliage to draw or paint.

April 5th:  A Look at Cave Art.  Find relevant images if possible (Gill)

April 12th:  Continuing our look at colour with secondaries.  This week, green – mixing and using (Barbara)

April 19th:  Good Friday.  No meeting

April 26th:  Still Life with glass, drawing.  (Carolyn)

May 3rd:  As before, taking last week’s drawing forward to painting.

May 10th:  More glass.  This time painting in monochrome on a black background.  Please bring your own glass object.  (Gill)

May 17th:  Secondary Colours. Orange.  (Barbara)

May 24th:  Finishing session.

May 31st.  Life Drawing (clothed).  Quick poses.
