Salisbury Sketchers at Arundells 12th and 14th May

A report from Loraine:

I am pleased to say that after all the cold and windy days we have experienced this Spring, we had two perfectly sunny afternoons for our sketching sessions in the garden at Arundells.

On Sunday afternoon, an extra treat whilst drawing was listening to the music of a concert pianist as the sounds filtered out through the open door of the house.  On Tuesday afternoon, having battled through the swarms of people heading for the Antiques Roadshow at the Cathedral it was relaxing to listen to the birds, and enjoy the relative calm in the garden (although a few more visitors were strolling by).

Thanks to the SGA members who came along;  it was good to see everybody enjoying the experience of working outdoors.  A big thank you also to the staff at Arundells who were very welcoming and allowed us free entry to the garden.

Hopefully, a few more members can be enticed along to the next Salisbury Sketchers outings this summer. If anybody has a particular venue they would like to visit, perhaps you could let us know.
