Visit to The Maltings, Sunday, October 11th.
The Maltings is a busy part of Salisbury with locals walking into the city and shoppers exiting the car park, so it is filled with noise and chatter - a far cry from a quiet country landscape setting! But once settled down to sketch it is easy to forget where you are as you concentrate on your drawing or painting. We only sketched for about an hour as it soon became a bit chilly. We said our goodbyes over a hot drink in a nearby cafe, and we will be looking forward to meeting up again in 2027. Any suggestions for local locations for next year will be much appreciated.
