Salisbury Group of Artists has always been and continues to be a vibrant, friendly and active arts group within and around the City of Salisbury. This website illustrates the wealth of activities open to members .
Established in the 1940’s for the advancement and practice of painting and allied visual arts it is friendly group of people of all ages interested in art and offers members an opportunity to develop new skills and to exhibit their work.
Throughout the year there are workshops with experienced and professional artists, exhibitions in and around the City , life drawing and Salisbury Sketchers. Additionally there is a regular Friday afternoon art group from September to June with a comprehensive programme in an enjoyable setting including outdoor work in suitable weather. This is an opportunity for people to get together to do art and learn from each other.
Members receive a monthly newsletter that details the varied programme of events throughout the year including all the workshop details , exhibitions, painting days, demonstrations and visits to art exhibitions in London and elsewhere.
